Elizabeth was born about 1806 at Ashford, Kent.^[1]

Marriage & Family

Elizabeth married Richard Wooten on 16 July 1834 at St Mary the Virgin Church, Ashford, Kent, in the presence of witnesses, John, Charlotte and Sarah Clover.^[2] This source gives access to an image of the handwritten entry in the Ashford Marriage Register that provides this date. An alternative source^[3] gives the date as 16 June 1834, one month earlier, but provides no corroborating evidence,

In the 1841 census Elizabeth, recorded as age 30 (birth year estimated as 1807-1811), was living at Wood Street, Stratford-On-Avon, with her husband Richard, recorded as age 35 (birth year estimated as 1802-1806), and children Elizabeth (5), Charlota (4) and Sarah (1).^[4]

In the 1861 census Elizabeth was age 55 and living at High Street, Stratford-On-Avon, with her husband Richard (57) and children Sarah (21) and Lydia (19).^[1]

In the 1871 census Elizabeth was age 63, Married, Butler's Wife, and living at 18 Westbourne Terrace North, Paddington, with her children Charlotte (35), Lydia (29), Draper's Assistant, and Mary Ann (23), Draper's Assistant.^[5]

Elizabeth's daughter, Lydia, married William Hancock Bowden in 1871 at Holy Trinity Church, Paddington, Middlesex.

In the 1891 census Elizabeth was age 85 and living at Hornsey Street, Holloway, Islington, with her husband Richard (87).^[6] Elizabeth's daughter Lydia was also living at Hornsey Street in 1891 with her husband and children.^[7]

Death

Elizabeth died in 1895 age 89, her death registered between Oct-Dec 1895 at Islington, Middlesex.^[8]
