Consuelo Clark-Stewart was the first African American woman to practice medicine in Ohio.
Consuelo Clark was born in 1860. She passed away in 1910.
For twenty years she had a thriving practice in Youngstown, where she treated Black and white patients. She was the daughter of Peter H. Clark, who is considered the first Black socialist, and the wife of William R. Stewart, one of the first Black attorneys and elected representatives in Ohio." -Wikipedia
She died 17 April 1910 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio[1] and is buried at Union Baptist Cemetery in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.[2]
