Death

She is buried in Van Fleet Burying Ground, Wantage, Sussex County, New Jersey. Gravestone inscription was recorded before 1934 as: "Jane wife of Samuel Van Fleet died on Mar. 31, 1848, aged 89 y. 1 m. 28 d." Annotation by Charles Stickney indicates "(daughter of James Clark and Sarah Van Auken, pioneer settlers of Unionville on the Armand place) possibly Deerpark, Orange, New York."^[1] Findagrave memorial has a gravestone image that shows the inscription as "In memory of Jane, wife of Samuel Van Fleet, who died March 31, 1848, AE 89 ys, 1 mo, 28 ds," but indicates a birth date of 28 May 1763.^[2]
