Biography

Margaret (Chidlow) Ruscoe was born in England.

Margaret was born in 1864. She is the daughter of Abraham Chidlow and Eleanor Jones. In 1871, she lived with her family at Cilhendre Farm, Ellesmere Dudleston, Shropshire. ^[1] By 1881, the family had moved to Bickerton, Cheshire. Her grandfather lived with them. ^[2]

In july 1883, Margaret Chidlow and Philip Ruscoe were married. They farmed at Egerton Green, Egerton, Cheshire in 1891. They already had five children and Philip's mother lived with them. ^[3] By 1901 Margaret and her son Gord were living with her brother Frederick in Shawbury, Shropshire. ^[4] Philip was at home with the remaining eight children. Philip died 22 Mar 1911 leaving Margaret farming in Egerton with her seven children aged 7 to 24. ^{[5] [6]}
