Maria (Chavet) Pulvermacher has German Roots.
In the 1860 census, "Mary A.", age 2 and born in Wisconsin, lives with her parents Peter C. and Josephine Chavet on the family farm in Roxbury township, Dane County, Wisconsin, along with 4 other siblings. Her grandparents, Peter F. and Catharine Chavet own the farm and live there also, listed as a separate family. [1]
In the 1870 census, "Marian", age 12, is attending school. She lives in her parents home, which they own and farm, in Roxbury, along with 3 older and 6 younger siblings.[2]
In the 1880 census, "Maria Anna", age 22, is the wife of John Pulvermacher, age 26, farmer in Roxbury. They have 2 children: Josefina, age 1, and Edward C., born in April. They live next door to John's parents and 3 siblings.[3]
In the 1900 census, "Maria A.", age 22, gives her birth as October 1858. She has given birth to 14 children, 12 of whom are still living. She and John have been married 22 years and have a mortgage on their farm in Roxbury. Other members of the household include: [4]

By 1905, they own their farm and have 2 more children. Joseph Chavet still lives with them. [5]
In 1910, "Anna M." and John have moved to Bryant Rd in Sauk City, where they own their house. No occupation is given; John has his own income. Living with them are their children Amanda E, 15; Florian A, 11; Urban M, 9; and Cora I., 6. [6]
In 1920 "Anna M.", age 61, and John, age 67, still live in Sauk City with their daughter Cora, who attends school. [7]
In 1930, "Mary A." and John are in Sauk City, living on Polk St. They own their home, valued at $2600.[8]
She died June 5, 1931, in her home. [9] She is buried in St. Aloysious Cemetery, Sauk City. [10]
