Bob, Thanks for posting the article from 1909 about Joseph and Dina (Jette) Charpentier's family. The photo is precious. How did you get the newspaper article, as I would love to get it and send to my Pion cousins? They are descendants of Joseph and Dina's son George who is mentioned in the article. I'd love to read the whole thing.

This really brightened my day. Love ya cuz! Lee Ryan

Hi Bob,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Karen....Thanks for touching base with me. Using WikiTree is different from any other Genealogy aid I’ve used before. That’s a good thing as much information I took for granted seems to have little documentation.

I’ve had few problems but I have had trouble adding a child to one of my ancestors. I keep getting an Invalid Wiki ID warning even though the profile for the child I am trying to add has an existing profile. If I try it in the other direction adding a father for a child, I het a Spring if warnings such as pre 1700 changes, invalid dates, and similar issues but the warnings persist even though none of the date warnings actually apply. Could you help on this?

Thanks!

Hi Karen! This is all new to me. A different format than I am used to with My Heritage but I will manage. I see some opportunities where I may contribute. More than anything, I would to develop family histories based on real documentation rather than the guesswork and imaginations of unknown anonymous persons.
