Biography

Mary was born about 1905. She is the daughter of Levi Chafe and Mary Cook. Mary was living at 61 Springdale Street with her parents at St John's, Newfoundland in 1921. ^[1] She was 16 years old. On Sep 27, 1924 she was a passenger on the SS Sachem. She was travelling to Lynn, Massachusetts. Her contact person in Newfoundland was L G Chafe, 61 Springdale St, St John's.^[2] On Jul 30, 1930 she was a passenger on the SS Nova Scotia, arriving at Boston, Massachusetts, USA.^[3] She married Charles L Hill on Apr 8, 1931 at Duval, Florida, United States.^[4] She passed away on Mar 21, 1990 at El Dorado, California.^[5] She is buried in Green Hills Memorial Park at Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles, California,^[6]
