Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial Courier 13 February 1855, page 2:
On the 6th of February, in Shronehill Church, by the Rev. Joseph Armstrong, uncle to the bride, assisted by the Rev. W. Baker, Richard Cooper Chadwick, Esq., second son of Samuel Cooper, Esq., Killinure Castle, to Kate, eldest daughter of Wm. Chadwick, Esq., Ballinard, county Tipperary.[2]
The following notice was printed on page 4 of the Cork Examiner dated 14 February 1855:
The Queen has been graciously pleased to grant Richard Cooper, of Killenure Cattle, county Tipperary, Esq., and Catherine Chadwick, eldest daughter and co-heiress of William Chadwick, of Ballinard, county Tipperary, her Royal Licence and Authority to take the additional name and arms of Chadwick.[3]
They went on to have one son, born 14 November 1855.
Sadly she passed away on 12 December 1855, less than a month after the birth of her son.

At Ballinard House, the seat of Wm. Chadwick, Esq., most sincerely and deservedly regretted, Kate, the beloved wife of Richard Cooper Chadwick, Esq. She has left a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. It may truly said of her "the righteous are taken away from evil to come."[4]
