Much of the information in this biography is doubtful. A William Chadwick was baptised on January 17, 1602 in Rochdale, Lancashire, England.[1] He was the son of Alexander Chadwick and an unidentified wife, probably Joan Warrall.
Whether or not William came to America is doubtful. His brother Charles Chadwick definitely arrived in Massachusetts in 1630 with Winthrop's fleet, but I can find no record of William. If he did come, it was after 1640, since he is not mentioned by Anderson in the Great Migration series.
He is also not mentioned in the will of Charles Chadwick, dated June 30, 1681.[2]
One family tree in FamilySearch.org shows that he died in Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts in 1650.[3] Another shows that he died in Watertown, Litchfield, Connecticut in 1682.[4] I have been unable to verify either one of these.
