Biography
George was born in 1850. He is the son of Matthew Beck and Mary Peters.
- 1848 probably in Doddington Workhouse with surviving siblings and baptised on 23 January. The Register shows their mother as Jane but should be Mary. The whereabouts of their parents is not clear, but they are all missing from 1851 Census
