Biography

Mary Carey (married name Darmody) was born around 1815 in Banagher, Ireland, the daughter of Margaret Carey and Thomas Carey.^[1]

She married John Darmody in 1836 in Ireland.^[2][1] Their children were:^[1]

Mary and her family migrated to Australia in 1855, arriving on the ship 'Empire'.^[3][1]

Mary died on 13 July 1887 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, aged 72 years.^[4][5][1]
