(Records of Cathy Young,<vcyoung2000@yahoo.com>, Nov, 2012): Genetic science proved in 2012 that William Cabell, supposed father of Polly, was related closely to William Cabell (1699-1774), Immigrant Ancestor of the large Cabell representation in the U.S. The YDNA of David Ray Cabell was found in 2012 to match closely the YDNA of William Wirt Cabell, a documented descendant of the Immigrant Ancestor.

The conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intend between William Goode and Polly Cabel for which a license is about to ______________if there is legal objection to said marriage then the above obligation to bind and_________to remain as ________and virtue. [Susan could be "Sukie" or "Suecy", the mulatto servant purportedly given to Polly by her father--see notes for William Goode #473. Susan [Sucky or Suecy] Smith was listed in the John Thompson Smith household, mulatto, age 68 in the 1860 census, Adair Co.
