Gordon was born in Malvern, South Australia during 1910. He is the son of William Butler and Maria Ley.
Gordon was born in Malvern, South Australia on 14 August 1910 to William Butler and Maria Ley.[1]
Gordon served in the Australian Army during the Second World War. He enlisted in Royal Park, Victoria on 21 November 1941. He was discharged with the rank of Corporal in the 2nd/10th Australian Base Workshops on 2 April 1946.[2]
