Biography

Wilhelm (William) was born about 1805 in Hamburg, Germany. He emigrated to America in 1832. He married Eva Heilbronn in Buffalo, New York in 1841. William and family were living in Detroit in 1850 (per census records). They moved to Saginaw in 1856. He passed away in 1892 and is buried with his wife at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.

Wm. C. Busch died at his home, corner of Porter and Cleveland streets yesterday, at the age of 86, of old age. He had been ailing for some 10 weeks and was confined to his bed for the greater part of that time. Mr. Busch was a carpenter and a cabinet maker. He came to this country from Hamburg, Germany, where he learned his trade in 1832, and has lived in Saginaw for the past 36 years. He was married to Miss Mary Heilbronn, of Buffalo, in 1839 or 1840, she dying some 10 years ago. He leaves three sons, William C., of Marquette, Frederick C. and Henry, of this city; and three daughters, Mrs. D. Trier and Mrs. Fred Walder, of this city, and Mrs. Minnie Gradt, of Milwaukee. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon from the Church of the Holy Cross.
