1st Partisan Rangers Company I men were largely from Pontotoc and Tippah Counties. So it might be this Isaac: "United States Census, 1850," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M4LF-FBB : 12 April 2016), Isaac Burton in household of Peter Deal, Pontotoc county, Pontotoc, Mississippi, United States; citing family 1229, NARA microfilm publication M432 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.). Though that would make him 45 years old at enlistment, and that's not common. There's a familysearch tree on him (LKK8-6PB married to Luarka) but I don't see sources that connect their Isaac to this Isaac.
