Biography

James Benjamin Burr was born in New Westminster, British Columbia on July 25, 1892[1]. He was the son of Joseph Burr and Mary Jane Johnston.

At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, Joseph, J Mary, Edna, Bessie, J Martha, J William, and B James Burr were listed as living in New Westminster, British Columbia[2].

At the time of the 1911 Canada Census, Joseph, Mary Jane, Bessie, Martha, William, and James Burr were listed as living in New Westminster, British Columbia[3]. At the time of the census, James' occupation was listed as "Mechanic's Appr".

James married Evelyn Bertha Newby in Sardis, British Columbia on December 26, 1935[4]. At the time of their marriage, James' occupation was listed as "Mechanical Engineer".

James died in Burnaby, British Columbia on August 19, 1985[5]. At the time of his death, James' occupation was listed as "Machinist".
