Henry Victor Buckingham was born on May 20, 1903 in Essendon, Victoria, Australia, son of George Emberson Buckingham (1862–1946) and Mary Bridgit Robinson (1869–1916).

Harry married Florence Margaret Medley in 1939 in Victoria, Australia. ^[1] Together they had one son, Richard Henry Buckingham

Henry enlisted in the RAAF on the 15th June 1943 ^[2] He served as a Leading Aircraftman, posted to the 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot.^[3]

Henry died on 27 December 1965 in Sandringham, Victoria, aged 62 years.^[4] and was buried in Mornington Cemetery, Mount Martha, Mornington Peninsula Shire, Victoria, Australia with a death date of 1965.^[5]
