Biography

William was born in 1904. He was the eldest son and 3rd of 11 children of William George Bruce (1867-1945) and Rose Ann (Barrett) Bruce (1876-1943). ^[1]

In 1930 he was living in Euchie St, Peak Hill and was a labourer ^[2]

Marriage aged 26 in 1931 to Dorothy Brown ^[3] at Peak Hill.

The had at least 5 children including

1. Colin (1931–1990)
2. Norma (1933–1938)

Aged 37 in 1942 he enlisted in the Australian Army - Service Number NX93470

Death aged 68 in 1973 at Peak Hill ^[4]

Burial He is buried at Peak Hill Cemetery Anglican Portion with his wife Dorothy who survived him by 20 years and died in 1993 ^[5]
