Lattimore Vernon Brown was an American southern soul singer who performed with Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Etta James, Jackie Wilson and Muddy Waters.
Lattimore V. Brown was born on 20 Aug 1931 in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi, United States.[1] He was raised by his grandfather, a sharecropper, never having met his parents.
His life was punctuated by myriad tragedies, including the deaths of three of his wives, one from a heart attack during evacuation from Hurricane Katrina.[2]
He served in the Korean War[3] and is buried in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida.
Lattimore died after being struck by a car on 25 Mar 2011 in Pensacola, Escambia, Florida, United States, aged 79. [1]
