Hi Kathryn,

I believe Lackey-204 may be mistakenly connected to his wife as her brother. Not only do their profiles show they are half-siblings, their birth dates are one month apart, which is impossible as they are shown to "share" a mother. Can you check into this please?

Hi

I’ve not heard back from you regarding the US Southern Colonies Project check-in so have gone ahead and removed you from the project for now. However, if you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here.

Many thanks,

Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project

Hi Kathryn,

I sent you a check-in message a week -10 days ago about the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Hoping to hear from you,

Best wishes,

Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project

Hi Kathryn,

This is the semi-annual polling for the US Southern Colonies Project check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months in this project?

Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. Types of activity vary, as I mentioned in the June check-in.

I look forward to hearing from you.. Many thanks,

Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project

Hello Kathryn!

I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.

I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the Slavery Team. Members can change teams at any time. If you need something to work on, we now have a master task list here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Black_Heritage_Project_Tasklist

We now have a project badge! Hooray! As soon as I hear back from you that you’d like to continue with the project, I will add the badge to your profile.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Emma

Hi Terry, thanks for reaching out but I'm not currently working with my DNA data.
Hi, Kathryn, my first cousin, Knox Millican, was married to a Betty Breazeale from Chattanooga. I may have some of her line.

Is there a chance you are connected? Jim Sneed [email address removed]

Hi Jim, I wonder if Betty Breazeale is from the branch of Breazeales who moved to Roane, Tennessee in the mid-1800's.
Hi Kathryn,

I noticed that you used the Challenge Tracker to track a change during last month's Sourcerers' Challenge. Please consider officially joining us for the Sourcerers' Challenge in February. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sourcerers Project page.

No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. Your work will continue to be included on the Tracking Sheet even if you do not register.

Your work is appreciated. Thanks for sourcing!

Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted". You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Debi

PS If you have any GEDCOM cleanup to do, there is a new tool that can help. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

Hello Kathryn!

Thank you for joining us! I wanted to check in with you to see how things are going. How do you like WikiTree so far? Have the tips in the New Member How To Pages been helpful or have they left you with questions?

Please let me know if you have any questions about WikiTree. To contact me, log in to WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment on my profile page. It's really is great to have you on board.

Cheryl ~ WikiTree Messenger

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Hi Kathryn and thank you for upgrading, 😊

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Happy tree climbing
