Son of Dea. Daniel & Susanna (Ventres) Brainerd

He married first Mary Gates, on 30 Nov 1727 and had seven children: Hannah, Esther, Mary, Fruin, Susanna, Bezaleel and Mary Brainerd - several of whom died very young

He next married Elizabeth Warner (1721-1746) on 17 Jun 1744 and had one child, Daniel

Thirdly he married Phebe Smith 19 May 1749 and had one more child, Enoch Brainerd

He passed away of a gunshot wound to his leg in 1749 and is buried at Old Cove Burying Ground, East Haddam, Middlesex, CT
