Biography

Hester (Brain) Pegler was born in Gloucestershire, England.

Hester Brain was born in 1838. She was the daughter of Joseph Brain and Elizabeth Hale. ^[1] Note that according to the birth registration, her mother's maiden name was recorded as Hall.

1841 Census: ^[2]

In 1851, Hester was residing with her parents and six siblings in Bitton Hamlet Of Oldland, Somerset, England. ^[3]

In 1863, Hester married James Pegler. The marriage was registered in Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales. ^[4]

In 1871, Hester and her husband were living in Clase, Glamorganshire. The couple had two sons and a daughter. ^[5] Some time after the 1871 census took place, Hester's second son, James passed away.

Hester and James moved to Penderry, Glamorganshie and they were seen living there in 1881. Hester's husband was a haulier. ^[6]

Hester passed away in 1897. Her death was registered in Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales. ^[7]
