Marie Augusta Kathryn Braff was born on June 14, 1909, in Crookston, Minnesota, her father, Emil, was 34, and her mother, Lena, was 28. She married Andrew Kermit Frater on June 3, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa. They had two children during their marriage. She died on September 24, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin, at the age of 53, and was buried in Monona, Wisconsin.[1]
