- MR. E. A. BLUNDEN.
- Mr. Edward Augustus Blunden died in the Orange Hospital early on Monday morning. Suffering from heart trouble he had been ailing for a month, and had been in the hospital eleven days. The deceased was a native of Molong district, having been born at Mount Pleasant 62 years ago. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blunden. The whole of his earlier life was spent in Molong and district, where he was very well known. Over 15 years ago he went to Leeton, where he secured one of the settlement areas, and remained there for 10 years, when he returned to the Orange district and resided there until the time of his death. He took an interest in mining, and some years ago was keen on prospecting and developing work. He had an interest in the Bobby Burns claim at Peak Hill. He never married. The Misses C. and F. Blunden, of Molong, are sisters of the deceased, and Mr. William Blunden (Wyalong) and Mr. Arthur Blunden (of Barmedman) are brothers. The body was interred in the Roman Catholic portion of the Molong Cemetery, Rev. Father Lawler conducting the service. Prior to leaving Orange a church service was conducted by Father Kelly.
