Biography

Sarah was born in 1749.

Married Jeremiah Patrick b) 1738...in Rock Co Virginia. About 1790, they moved to Gale Co Virginia in 1810 and moved again to Floyd Co Kentucky. In 1822, Jeremiah served in the Revolutionary War, when he was taken prisoner of War, and charged with being an enemy of the Country, and accused of being under the commission of The KING OF GREAT BRITAIN. Witnesses were brought forward and he was found Innocent of the charge, but was bound to his own good behavior and a 1000 pound fine. Jeremiah married Sarah Sally Blair between 1760-1761 in Rockingham Co Virginia. .His Military Service in 1812, Lived in Bath Kentucky in 1820...Foot note ...lived in Rowan North Carolina

  • 19 Jun 1821: On the application of Salley Patrick, a widow residing in Floyd County, who made satisfactory proof in open Court by the testimony of two credible witnesses that she has no estate in her own right to the value of $100, the same is ordered to be certified to the Auditor of Public Accounts, agreeable to an act entitled "An Act for the Benefit of Poor Widows", approved the 21st December 1820, allowing them 100 acres of land warrant. Recorded in Floyd Co, KY County Court Orders Book 4, page 035. [1]
