Hi Jane,

It is once again time for our annual Scotland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:

•If you would like to continue as a project member •If you are happy with your current teams or would you like to join a different team •How much time per month (on average) you spend working on Scottish profiles •Anything you’d like the Scotland Project to do more of in the future

You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you are no longer able to participate in the Scotland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.

On behalf of the Scotland Project, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve Scottish profiles!

Sheena - Scotland Project Membership Coordinator

Yes, I added a research notes to Jeremiah Starr's profile and prefaced it with "According to his Find A Grave." This is how "clues" are supposed to be added to profiles. I did not cite Find A Grave as a "source." If Find A Grave is incorrect, add to the research notes and cite sources. If you do not have a Find A Grave profile, and you want me to send corrections to Find A Grave for your ancestor, please let me know, as I am familiar with the process for correcting Find A Grave. And, I agree, F.A.G. is not infallible, but it is a good resource. I work to improve both tools. jg

Thank you for the thorough explanation. And no, I do not have a Find A Grave profile…would appreciate your offer to send a correction to them.

I certainly can understand any confusion one might have with regards to Jeremiah Starr/Quaker records as there are at least 7-8 of them down the family line. I will take your advice and add this info to his profile. Thanks again!

Hello, I did send you an email, but thought I'd leave a message here as well, I am totally okay with you adding any information on any family members we share, I'm still learning about our family history and welcome any help you or anyone else can provide... Happy Holidays

Hello, jane,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page.

These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
