Birth
This profile is part of the Hanborough, Oxfordshire One Place Study.
Fanny was born in 1841 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.[1] She was the daughter of Edward Berry and Ann Ayers. She was baptised at the parish church of St Peter and St Paul on 22nd August 1841.[2] Her father gave his occupation at the baptism as thatcher.
Marriage
John Turfrey and Fanny Berry were married at St Peter and St Paul, Church Hanborough, Oxfordshire on 23rd November 1863.[3] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and living in Hanborough. John was a labourer and the son of George Turfrey who was a labourer. Fanny was a gloveress and only stated of her father that he was deceased. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Stephen Hill and Harriett Judd.[4]
