Brita Astrid Aurora Berglund was born 9 March 1885 to Johan Berglund and his wife Charlotta Christina Malmqvist.^[1]

Her father went to America in May 1888.^[2] Astrid and her mother followed in September 1889.^[3]

Johan Berglund died before 1900 - the census 1900 finds Astrid Berglund and her sister Karen (born in America) in the household of their widowed mother in Brooklyn.^[4]

Astrid A Berglund married William E Neiman 5 August 1908.^[5] At the time of the census 1910 they had a baby daughter. Astrid's mother and sister lived in the household.^[6]

At the time of the census 1920 Astrid lived with her husband and daughter in Teaneck, Bergen, New Jersey.^[7]

When William Neiman died, 31 May 1944, he was a widower.^[8]
