Biography

Abigail Benham was born about 1810 in Ohio, according to the 1860 census.^[1] It is likely she was born before that date as she married in 1825 and her mother was born in 1763, making such a late birth date highly unlikely.^[2] She was the daughter of Richard Benham and Lydia Robbins.^[3]

Abigail married Edward P. Thomas on December 20, 1825 in Warren County, Ohio.^[2]

She is found enumerated as a widow and living with some of her children in 1860 in Washington Township (Montgomery County).^[1]
