Thomas Howard Bell was born 1 February 1911 in District of Columbia, USA. He was the son of John Allen Bell and Elsie Etta Harrell. He had an older brother John Allen Bell Jr (2).

1916, his brother Donald M Bell was born in District of Columbia.

On 12 Sep 1918, the Bell family lived at 2001 Douglas St NE in Washington DC. His father John Allen Bell (34) had been born 17 Dec 1883, a native born US citizen, worked as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Co located at 1416 F St NW in Washington, was white, medium height, slender build, with brown eyes and light brown hair. 1920, Howard Bell (8) lived in Washington, District of Columbia with his father John A (36), mother Elsie (36), older brother Allen (11), and younger brother Donald (4). They were white. John and Allen were born in Maryland; Elsie was born in Virginia; Howard and Donald were born in District of Columbia. [2]

On 29 Aug 1929, his brother John Allen Bell Jr (21) married Mary Helen O'Neil (19) in District of Columbia. [3]

1930s

In 1930, Thomas H Bell (19) lived in Washington with his father John A (47), mother Elsie E (46), and younger brother Donald M (14). [4]

On 29 Apr 1932, his mother Elsie E Harrell Bell (48) died. She was buried at Savage Cemetery. [5]

About 1933, his father John Bell married Iva Irene Aleshire. Iva was widowed, born 1907 in Virginia and the daughter of Phillip Frederick Stroupe and Bertha Susan Good.

On 13 Mar 1934, his half-brother Warren Philip Bell was born in Washington DC.

On 30 Nov 1934, his brother Donald M Bell married Dorothy E Krause in District of Columbia. [6]

On 1 Apr 1935, the Bell family lived in Washinton DC. [7]

On 19 Aug 1937, his half-brother Gordon Richard Bell was born in District of Columbia.

1940s

In 1940, Thomas H Bell (29) lived in DC with his father John R (56), stepmother Iva I (32), younger brothers Warren P (6), Richard (2), and step-uncle Melvin L Stroupe (30). [7]

On 16 Oct 1940, Thomas Howard Bell (29) lived at 2809 Franklin St NE in Washington. He had been born 1 Feb 1911 in Washington. His contact person was his father Mr John Allen Bell of the same residence. He was employed by Mr Kanterowitz of the Government Printing Office at North Capitol & G streets NW in Washington. 1950s

On 15 Aug 1958, Thomas H Bell (47) died from bronchopneumonia with bacteremia at Virginia hospital in Hampton, Virginia. His usual residence was 2809 Franklin St NE in Washington. He was white, divorced, and unemployed. He had been born 1 Feb 1911 in Washington, and the son of John A and the late Elsie Harrell Bell. The informant of his death was the VA Hospital in Kecoughtan, Virginia. Lawrence B Wood Funeral Home provided arrangements and he was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia. [9] [10] [11]
