Biography

Novella (Belfield) Minor is a part of US Black heritage.

Novella was born in 1918. She was the daughter of John Belfield and Roberta Mason.^[1] In the 1920 census Novella (age 1) was the daughter of John Belfield in Gaston, Northampton, North Carolina.^[2] In the 1930 census Novella (age 11) was the daughter of John Belfield in Dromgooler Plantration, Plantration, Powellton, Brunswick, Virginia, United States.^[3] In the 1930 census Novella (age 11) was the daughter of John Belfield in Dromgooler Plantration, Plantration, Powellton, Brunswick, Virginia, United States.^[4]

She married William Minor on 24 August 1940 in Richmond, Virginia.^[5] In the 1950 census Novella (age 31) was the wife of Willam W Minor in Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, United States.^[6]

She passed away on 4 February 2017. Funeral services were Friday, 10 February 2017, at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church in Richmond with Dr. Gene Donaldson. She is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Henrico County, Virginia.^[7][8]
