Albert served with the 960th Engineer Aviation Topographic Company during WW2. ^[1]

He was born in 1915 to William Behrens and Christine Busse. ^{[2] [3]}

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942. ^[4]

He tragically lost his younger brother, Wilbert, a Thunderbolt pilot, in December 1944, when he was killed in the Philippines during WWII.

Albert died in the Philippines as well, in non-battle on 18 October 1945. ^[5]

He was laid to rest in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philipines. ^{[6] [7]}
