Birth

Mary Elizabeth Becker was born at Livermore, Maine, in 1845, the daughter of Amos O. Beckler and Betsey H. (Austin) Beckler.^[1] She was living at Livermore with her parents in 1850 as Mary E. Beckler, age 4,^[2] and in 1860 as Elizabeth M. Beckler, age 14.^[3] Her gravestone shows her birth date as 9 Sep 1845,^[4] which is consistent with a calculated birth date from her age at her death from her death record.^[5]

Marriage

Mary Elizabeth Becker married Joseph H. Thing.^[1] Her death record names her as the wife of Joseph H. Thing.^[5] The 1900 Census says they had then been married for 31 years.^[6]

Death
