Biography
Birth
- No record has been found of the birth of Betsey H. Austin. Her death record says that she was born at Buckfield, Maine, the daughter of John Austin, and her age at her death computes to a birth date of 5 Mar 1824.[1] The 1850 Census shows her as 26 years old, born in Maine.[2] The birth date on her gravestone is 1824, and her FindAGrave memorial gives her middle name as Harlow.[3]
Marriage
- Betsey H. Austin married Amos O. Beckler.[4] In 1850, Amos O. Beckler, 27, and Betsey H. Beckler, 26, were living at Livermore, Maine, with two children, ages 2 and 4.[2]
Death
- Betsey H. Bucker, widow of Amos Buckler, died at Livermore, Maine, on 22 Sep 1902.[1] The gravestone of Betsey H. Beckler at the Hillman Ferry Cemtery in Livermore, Maine, is inscribed with the dates 1824-1902.[3]
