Mildred Ernestine Baxter was born in 1887 as the fifth child and only daughter of parents John Baxter and Mary Knott [1]. On 15 Jan 1913, she married George Frederick Weaver [2], whose parents were Frederick G. Weaver and Sarah J. Budlong. Mildred and George were the parents of four children: George Frederick Weaver Jr. (1917–2004), Frederick George Weaver (1918–2015), Virginia Mary (Weaver) Shaw (1920–2005), and Mildred Baxter (Weaver) Weissbart (1922–2012). Mildred Weaver died in 1981[3] and is buried at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica, Oneida County, New York.
Mildren's Utica Observer Dispatch (newspaper) obituary states that Mildred Baxter Weaver, age 94, of 208 Herkimer Rd., died 10 Aug 1981 at the Presbyterian Home after a long illness [4]. She was the widow of George F. Weaver, and the daughter of John Rechab and Mary Knott Baxter. Mrs. Weaver is survived by four children, George F. of Utica, Frederick G. of New Hartford, Mrs. Henry M. Shaw of Morristown, N.J., Mrs. Frank J. Weissbart of New York City and three grandchildren. She was a life long member of Calvary Episcopal Church and a graduate of Smith College. She was a member of Oneida Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Association of University Women. She was also a life member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants.
