Biography

Hannah (Bass) Wilbore immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Birth and Origins

Ann (or Hannah) Bass was born to Samuel Basse and Ann (Savell) Basse sometime before her baptism on 25 Nov. 1632 in Saffron Walden, Essex, England.[1]

Marriages

Hannah married first Stephen Paine (who died 29 Jul. 1691[2] ) 15 Nov. 1651, at Braintree, Massachusetts.[3] Together they had the following children:[4]

  1. Stephen, b. March 8, 1653, m. Ellen Veasey
  2. Samuel, b. 1654, m. Mary Penniman
  3. Hannah, b. Oct. 28, 1656, m. Theophilus Curtis
  4. Sarah, b. 1657; m. Jan. 22, 1697, to Roger Billings Jr. of Dorchester
  5. Moses, b. March 26, 1660, m. Mary Pierce daughter of Thomas
  6. John, b. Aug. 21, 1666, m. Deborah Neale daughter of Henry and his second wife Hannah Pray
  7. Lydia, b. 1670, m. June 20, 1689. to Benjamin Neale, Benjamin was the brother of Deborah.
  8. Elizabeth, is an unrecorded daughter, b. abt 1671, the second wife of Peter Town of Cambridge, marrying 8 Apr 1697. According to Waldo C. Sprague, on 12 Oct. 1732 Elizabeth died at her sister,Lydia (Payne) Neale's house, in Braintree. Sprague contends that "[f]urther confirmation [of Elizabeth's parentage] is found in the will of Peter Town [Elizabeth's husband] who mentoned Elizabeth's mother Hannah Wilbor."[5]

She married second Shadrach Wilbore in Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts, on 13 Sep. 1692.[6]

Death

Hannah died sometime after the inventory and settling of the account was given for her deceased husband on 9 Dec 1701.[7]

The death data field previously had her death date as 29 Jun 1704, but there were no citations for that date.

This profile is a duplicate daughter of Samuel Bass https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bass-435 and should not have been created. Also the attached page from Great Migration series is under copy right and should be removed.
