Elizabeth is described as the daughter of John Bascom and Jeanne Beaumont, who are featured in the first chapter (attributed to Gustave Anjou) of History of the Tone Family.

According to Gustave Anjou, John Bascom and Jane Beaumont were the parents of Thomas Bascom, who emigrated to Dorchester in Massachusetts^[1]. Anjou makes John Bascom the son of Robert Bascom and Marie Dornant (here set as his grandparents).

Since John Bascom and Jane Beaumont only appear in Gustave Anjou's notoriously fraudulent work, their purported daughter Elizabeth is assumed to be imaginary.
