Isaac Barton (b. 1799; SC/d. 1865; TX) md. Nancy Snow 11-27-1819 by Jonathan York, J.P. in Blount Co., AL. [1]
By the 1830 census, they resided in Jefferson Co., AL.[2] [According to Dottie Lewis, a descendant, Isaac was a wheelmaster and a Baptist preacher.]
The 1840 census lists them in Yalobusha Co., MS.[3]
The 1850 census of Yalobusha enumerates Isaac's family as #927.[4]
The 1860 Census of Trinity Co., TX lists and Isaack Barton. [According to Dottie Lewis, Isaac and family settled near Apple Springs, Trinity Co., TX.] Some of Isaac's descendants also moved to Sabine Parish, LA.
All the Barton sons enlisted in the Confederate Army except Avery Jackson who stayed home to see after the women.
In 1870 Jeremiah & Mary Ann and Tempy and her husband, William, resided in Henderson Co., TX. Samuel G. remained in Trinity Co. William Green and his family had moved near Many, Sabine Parish, LA in 1868.
