Biography

George Bradford Bartlett was born in July of 1832 in Concord, Massachusetts. He was the son of Josiah Bartlett and Martha Bradford.^[1][2]

George was a published writer of stories, poems and books. He enjoyed a considerable reputation in Concord, and was often considered its unofficial host at the time. Helping to promote tourism, he authored the first all inclusive Concord Guide Book: an in-depth publication which contained valuable historical as well as descriptive information.

George passed away in June of 1896, also in his hometown of Concord. He never married and had no reported issue.^[3]
