On January 1, 1920, Eusebisus, age 10, was the son of William Barrow in Clarksville, Montgomery, Tennessee.[2]

He enrolled in Morehouse College at Atlanta, Georgia in 1930 and earned is Bachelor of Science in 1935. He subsequently completed his Masters of Science in Chemistry in 1937 at the same college.
On October 16, 1940 Eusebius registered for the World War II draft with the local board in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee. While his residence was listed as 940 Blank Street in Nashville, the same as his mother, Rosa Bell Barron, he was employed at the Mississippi Negro Training School in Jackson, Mississippi.[5]

Eusebius enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 2, 1943 and reported to Camp Forrest in Tullahoma, Coffee and Franklin Counties, Tennessee.[7] By the time, E.M. arrived, Camp Forrest had become a German Prisoner of War camp.
He received an Honorable discharge from the Medical Detachment, Section II, 1476th Services Command Unit on December 18, 1944. His rank was listed as a Private.[8]
Eusebius enrolled in Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1946 he was one of three Mississippi negroes who was awarded a scholarship for medical studies.[9] He graduated from the School of Medicine in June 1948.[10] and began an internship at Hubbard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
On May 23, 1949, Dr. Barron opened his doctor's office in Indianola, Sunflower County, Mississippi as part of the State-sponsored effort to bring medical professionals to underserved communities in the Delta.[11] Just two months later, Dr. Barron died.[12]

Research Notes
In Jul 1942, The Atlanta University Bulletin published the following in the Alumni News section, "Mr. Eusebius Marion Barron, for the past four years head of the science department of Jackson College, has been appointed an instructor in the technical school of the Army Air Corps. He is stationed at Scott Field, Illinois."[18] This information seems to be out of sync with the known timeline for E.M. Additional research is needed to determine if the publication was mistaken, or if additional source data is missing.
