Biography

Sarah Barker was born 10 Feb 1777 at Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts ^[1].

On 20 October 1800 in Chester, Massachusetts, Sarah Barker and Isaac Alvord filed their intention to marry ^[2]. They did marry on 22 October 1800 ^[3].

There were ten children of this family ^[4]:

In 1850, Sarah (widowed) and her daughter Thankful resided in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA ^[5]. With them in this household was Marietta Bird, daughter of Sarah's daughter Amelia, who had died in 1849.

In 1855, Sarah and her daughter Thankful resided in Worthington, Massachusetts ^[6]. By 1860, Sarah had moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut, residing in the household of her daughter Esther and her family ^[7].

Sarah (Barker) Alvord died at age 86, 29 APR 1863, probably in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA. Her grave is in Center Cemetery, Westhampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts, USA ^[8].
