I have run into a problem getting past my gggrandfather, Thomas Samuel Ballow. Born in S. Carolina and came to Panola County, Texas in the 1850s. Died in the 1870s or 80s but no idea where his grave is located. There is a person with the same name buried in the town he came from in South Carolina, but he was buried with his wife there and we haven't found any confirmation that he spent time in Texas.

Hi,

The two profiles have been merged. If you haven't done so, please look for an email from WikITree to confirm your email address. Check your spam and junk folders also.

Please let me know if you need anything.

Take care ~ Sheryl

Ballow-133 and Ballow-44 appear to represent the same person because: I propose merging Ballow-133, (the profile that Keith built for Jim) into Ballow-44, the profile Jim set up when he joined WikiTree. All the information Keith added to Ballow-133 should be ported over to profile Ballow-44 during the merge.

Hi James,

Welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has useful links that will get you started.

WikiTree is different because we have One Big Tree. Our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a single collaborative team. Our Honor Code is the key.

When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are surnames, locations, concepts, etc. that you'd like to track.

If you decide to volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership. After signing the Honor Code, you'll be able to add new profiles to the tree.

Carole

P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
