Isaac Baker volunteered for Bradford's Battalion, also known as the 13th and 14th Cav. Regiment. [1][2] On April 12, 1864 he was captured at Fort Pillow, Tennessee. [3] He was incarcerated in Andersonville Prison where he died of dysentery. He's buried in grave 5264.

OVERVIEW: Organized December, 1863. Consolidated to a Company April, 1864, and assigned to 14th Tennessee Cavalry as Company "A," then to 6th Tennessee Cavalry as Company "E."
They were attacked at the Fort Pillow Massacre. Many Colored Troops were killed in the massacre, and where POW's were sent to Andersonville Prison. This is where Isaac was captured.[4]
