Biography
She was born on 30 July 1919 in Venice, Los Angeles County, California, USA and was the daughter of Gladys Pearl (Monroe) and Jasper "Jap" Newton Baker.
Her parents separated in 1919 and divorced in 1921, after which her father Jasper kidnapped her and her brother, Robert, and raised them in his native Kentucky. [1]
Her mother Gladys soon remarried and gave birth to a third child, Norma Jean (later widely known as Marilyn Monroe).
In 1933 her brother Robert died from kidney failure. [2]
Berniece Inez Gladys Baker married about 1938 to Paris Miracle (1918-1990) and they had one daughter.
She worked as a manufacturing inspector, bookkeeper and costume designer. She avoided the media throughout her life.
She died on 25 May 2014 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA and was buried at Pineville Cemetery in Kentucky, USA.
