Biography

My father and my siblings were born in the village Blazov, what expired in 1952, because The Government put this place to the military area. Many years ago I started to do trips to this area and I published my pictures on the WEB. When I received a few questions, mainly from the USA, about families from Blazov, so I started the genealogical research of families from this village. After a few years of the hard job I think my work is possible to publish and WikiTree is the best place for it. I hope these informations can help somebody to find his roots. Of course, I will be happy, when anybody send me any new informations, or any pictures of people from Blazov or of their descendants.

If you want to know more about the village Blazov, then you can visit my WEB page: www.blazov.sk

Hello Dusan,

I live in Canada. My mother’s father was a Virostek. His father was born in Helcmanovce, Slovakia on October 28 in 1892 and Married Mary Dorchak.

Do you believe there could be a connection with this Virostek family and your information on the Virosztek family tree in the same region of Slovakia?

Would love to connect!

Hi Dusan, In 2012 I began doing ancestry research on the internet. I was surprised at all the information I was able to find at home on the computer! I was able to find the marriage certificate of my great grandfather and great grandmother in Cambria , Pennsylvania in the year 1899. I also found an Ellis Island , New York immigration record for Joszef Lazor who came from Stelbach, Austria and his destination was Pennsylvania. I was unable to verify Jozef as my ancestor until I found all the information you provided here on WikiTree. His death certificate has his mother's maiden name as Bujnak that matches the Lazor records for Blazov. Thank you for your devotion and hard work for keeping the memory of a gone but not forgotten small town and it's people alive! Paul Lazere (Lazor)

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!

I try to do something, include family trees, for people, who do not forget one expired village - Blazov in Slovakia.
