Axline-47 and Axline-78 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same birth and death info, same wife, same daughter Charlotte. Note that he was born in Prince William County, Virginia. The county boundaries changed over time (see research notes) to Loudoun County, but the WikiTree convention is to use the place name at the time of the event.

Hi Michelele,

You say Axline-78 and Axline-47 do not represent the same person because: "John Axline born in Prince William Co, VA accounting to records and died in Loudon County, Virginia, but father died in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Still working on parents, this is not making since to me with doc's".

Can you add your source to the profile please?

These really look like the same people. Which facts do we need to choose to accomplish this merge? If you need more time to evaluate you can create an unmerged match rather than rejecting the merge. The only minor difference is that the profiles list adjoining counties for their birthplaces, but without citing sources. Birth date: Same (19 Sep 1739) Birth place: Adjoining counties (Loudoun County, Virginia vs. Prince William County, Virginia Colony Death date: Same (19 Feb 1833) Death place: Same (Loudoun County, Virginia, although Axine-47 lists a city) Wife: Same (Christiena or Christena Mertz, b 1750, one list month/day, d. 16 Apr 1828) Daughter: Same (Charlotte or Sharlotte, b. 22 Nov 1776, d. 11 Mar 1827)

Michelle, Paige, I can resolve the discrepancy in birth locations. Loudon County did not exist in 1739; that region at the time was Prince William County. In 1742 Fairfax was created from Prince William, & in 1757 Loudon was created from Fairfax. I have to agree with Paige that these profiles are the same person.

Axline-78 and Axline-47 appear to represent the same person because: Same names, dates of birth and death, place of birth and death (different county but same state of birth, but neither profile cites a source), same wife's name, same daughter's name (Charlotte/Sharlotte).
