Obituary

Anna Lee Atkins Jones of Tellico Plains, passed away at 9:15 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Tellico Plains. She was a retired teacher, having taught in numerous schools in the county.

She was 95.

Preceded in death by: sister, Alice Burgess; and brothers, Kinley and Eugene Atkins.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law-Bill and Lois Jones of Chattanooga;

Granddaughter-Carolyn Jones of Knoxville;

Grandson and spouse-Paul and Emily Jones of Atlanta;

Brother-Tom Atkins of Etowah;

Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside and interment will be 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, in New Providence Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., before the service, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
