From Medieval Genealogy forum, post by mjcar[1]:
Sir John de Aspall, granted his father Sir Robert de Aspale the manor of Slamundeshaye in Black- and in White-Nottele, Essex, for life, 2 Edward III [1328-9] (Charters and Rolls in the Bodleian Library); held Stonham Aspal, 1347 (PRO C 241/123/88); dead by 20 April 1357 (PRO C 241/137/1); married Elizabeth (Copinger, Suffolk, vol ii).
As he made a grant in 1328-29 he must have been of age and therefore born before 1308.
