Susannah Carty Arnell (married name Salmon) was born about 1831 in London, England, the daughter of Susannah Arnell (nee Carty) and Richard Arnell.^[1]

She emigrated to South Australia on the Marion, arriving at Port Adelaide on 10 Feb 1849. ^[2]

She was married to Frederick Brown Salmon on 23 Jan 1851 at Christ Church, Adelaide, South Australia. ^[3]

Their children were:
