Isabell (Arch) Masters PhD was an Oklahoman.

Isabell Masters PhD was a five-time perennial third-party candidate (Looking Back Party) for President of the United States. Masters' five presidential campaigns are the most for any woman in U.S. history.^[1]

Isabell Arch was born in 1913. She was the daughter of Walter Arch and Cora McDaniel Lewis

She married Alfred Masters (1916-1975), the first African-American to be sworn into the United States Marines, in 1942.  They had six children together, but their marriage ended in the late 1940s. She raised six children as a single mother.

Masters graduated from Douglas High School in Oklahoma City and received a bachelor's degree in education from Langston University. She later earned a doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. She obtained her master's degree in higher education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  She later earned a doctorate from the University of Oklahoma during her late 60s.

An educator by profession, Masters taught in California, New York, Nevada and Kansas during her career. 

Presidential Campaigns

Dr. Masters was a Write-In candidate for the US Presidential race five times for the Looking Back Party. She was a registered Republican whose platform was cutting the capital gains tax, reducing military spending, and stopping the government’s misuse of taxpayers money.

• 2000 - Write-In candidate. Her vice-presidential running mate was her daughter, Alfreda Dean Masters.

In addition to her presidential campaigns, Masters ran for city council in Topeka, Kansas and the Kansas State Senate. She was once a candidate for Mayor of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Death and Burial

Isabell Masters died in her sleep on September 11, 2011 in Lake Worth, Florida, at the age of 98.^[2]

She is buried in Topeka, Kansas in Mount Hope Cemetery.^[3]
